2 Continental Dealers Grab $29,000 in Prizes

Two Continental tire dealers raided a prize warehouse, and during a one-minute dash they loaded up more than $29,000 in prizes. The winners: Eavers Tire Pros and Wayne Winders, an outside sales representative at Industrial Tire Service. Since 2012 Continental Tire the Americas LLC has hosted a dealer dash for a top performing passenger and light truck tire dealer who is a member of the Gold program. The company has this year added the dealer dash to the rewards for the Horsepower program for commercial tire dealers.

The winners were given a trip for two on June 13-14 to New York City.

There were 11,000 qualified entries from Continental's Gold program. The Gold program rewards participants based on 10% year-over-year growth. Eavers Tire Pros, with stores in Stuarts Draft and Fisherville, Va., was selected in a random drawing. The dealer took home $15,000 in prizes.

There were 300 Horsepower participants from 69 different dealers who qualified for the dash. Winders, an outside sales representative at Industrial Tire Service in Washougal, Wash., was selected in a random drawing. He and his wife Ashley took home $14,000 in prizes.

"I could not believe I was chosen for the Dash," said Winders. "The best thing about Horsepower is the great incentives and rewards. Everyone from Continental is great and always gives me the tools to be successful." Tom Fanning, Continental’s vice president of sales and marketing for truck tires in North America, said, “The Dealer Dash, and the Horsepower and Gold programs in general, are all about celebrating the Continental dealer family. We want to build and strengthen our relationship with our independent dealers. We are offering programs and support to get them to the next level in their growth."

During their one-minute dash through the prize warehouse the winning dealers grabbed prizes including smart TVs, a DSLR camera, 5K computer monitor, iPad and Amazon Fire tablets, smart home accessories such as a Nest thermostat and Ring video doorbell, Apple watches, designer sunglasses, jewelry and home appliances.

The drawing for the next dealer dash will be held in March 2020. For commercial Continental dealers, entries are based on 2019 full year sales submitted to the Horsepower portal.
