Tire Discounters Celebrates 2 Store Openings and Baseball

May 8, 2019

Two more Tire Discounters Inc. stores are open for business. One is located in the Decatur, Ala., area, the other in Farragut, Tenn.

That gives the Cincinnati, Ohio-based dealership more than 120 outlets in six states: Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

The Decatur location, which will employ up to 15 people, is the fifth in the Huntsville area, and first store in Alabama west of I-65. It will be led by General Manager Ian Atkins, who joined the Tire Discounters team when its first local store opened in 2017.

David Chirello, Southern Division director, says the store's grand opening celebration will be going on through June. "We’re offering great deals like up to $100 instant savings on major tire brands, up to $100 off brake services and 50% off a full synthetic oil change, which includes a free tire rotation."

The Farragut location is Tire Discounters' third in the Greater Knoxville area. It also will employ from 10 and 15 people. Jon Norris, a 20-year automotive industry veteran who began his career at Tire Discounters as a tire technician, is the general manager.

Tire Discounters is partnering with the Cincinnati Reds, the nation’s first professional baseball team, this season. It will offer exclusive discounts and free ticket vouchers to baseball fans shopping with Tire Discounters through May 31, 2019.

The free tickets, honoring the Reds' 150th anniversary, are available to customers in most Tire Discounters markets when they purchase a set of four Cooper tires.  Customers will score up to $110 total savings and a voucher for four lower level Cincinnati Reds tickets.

The promotion has proven to be "a big hit" with baseball fans in Cincinnati and neighboring markets, says Crissy Niese, chief customer officer and senior vice president. "We’re a family owned business, so we know spending quality time with your family is important. We’re excited to give our customers a chance to visit a major league ballpark and watch a game on us."

Known as the “home of free alignment,” Tire Discounters includes a free four-wheel alignment with every standard four-tire installation. It is the seventh largest independent tire dealership in the U.S. based on the Modern Tire Dealer 100 list. For more information, visit www.tirediscounters.com.
