TravelCenters Opens a New Truck Center in Georgia

TravelCenters of America LLC has added a TA Truck Service center off Interstate 85 southwest of Atlanta.

The facility, located at the Fairburn Family Travel Center at exit 61 in Fairburn, Ga., features a newly equipped repair center with four service bays and two pit lanes, plus RoadSquad emergency breakdown service and TechOn-Site mobile maintenance.

The company will host a grand opening on May 15.

“We are pleased to provide a reliable, truck service solution to the Fairburn Family Travel Center,” said Skip McGary, executive vice president of TA Truck Service. “Vehicle up-time and efficiency is essential in the trucking industry, and through our new maintenance facility, we will provide this area with around-the-clock access to qualified technicians that can handle even the most challenging repairs in-bay, roadside and on-site at a fleet’s facility or yard.”

Among the services available at the new center are:

  • computerized diagnostics
  • after-treatment system maintenance, including DPF cleaning services and regenerations
  • brakes
  • wheel end repairs
  • lighting
  • tire services
  • preventive maintenance
  • reefer PM lubrication
  • DOT inspections

There are 244 TA Truck Service facilities, with 1,090 bays and nearly 3,000 ASE- and TIA-certified technicians. The company also operates more than 2,600 RoadSquad and third-party provided service trucks and more than 200 TechOn-Site mobile maintenance vehicles.
