Magna Tyres Group, based in the Netherlands, is expanding and opening an office in Canada to serve the North American market.
Magna manufactures and distributes commercial tires for off-the-road, agricultural, industrial and truck tire markets. The company has 13 sales offices around the world, and its products are used in more than 130 countries.

Alex Vitale will lead the new office as general manager. He brings with him 20 years of experience in the tire industry, and most recently served as CEO in North America for Prometeon Tyre Group Commercial Solutions LLC, the commercial arm of Pirelli Tire North America Inc.
Magna says rapid growth created the need to have a local office to provide nearby support on a continual basis.
"Clients in the area will benefit from closer and even more personalised attention, while product availability increases because stocks can be locally maintained.
