Hennelly Tire opens 19th outlet, with the 20th close at hand

Nov. 16, 2007

Hennelly Tire & Auto Inc. has opened three stores in the last month. The latest, in The Villages in central Florida, gives the Fort Lauderdale-based chain, which does business as The Tire Choice & Total Car Care, 19 outlets in Florida.

All three stores were built from the ground up. Hennelly secured the only tire store rights in The Villages. The other two stores are located in North Port ("in front of a new Home Depot," says Chairman and CEO Dan Hennelly) and Stuart, located on a federal highway in a new shopping center.

"Our 20th location will open Dec. 1 in Naples, Fla., just in time for the 'snow bird' rush," says Hennelly, who runs the company with his wife, Diane, Hennelly Tire's vice chairperson and CFO. With that opening, the company will have reached its goal of opening eight stores in 2007.

Another eight to 10 stores are scheduled to open in 2008.
