Sept. 21, 2007

Tianjin Saehan Retreading Co. Ltd., a Chinese company, has completed the construction of a retread plant in Tianjin, China, that has the capacity to produce 1,000 retreads per day. The plant is scheduled to start production in November.

Saehan acquired Nexen Retread Tires earlier this year.

Saehan says it has invested more than $8.5 million during 2007 "towards the expansion of its business, allowing rapid growth as one of the leaders in the auto-related machine industry."

The firm plans to open an OTR retread plant next year.

"By combining the company's existing tire mold expertise and newly acquired tire retread technology, Seahan is sure to produce top-quality retreads."
