Hankook unveils premium all-terrain light truck tire

Sept. 19, 2007

Hankook Tire America Corp. introduced a new premium all-terrain light truck tire, the Dynapro ATM RF10, earlier today at a ride-and-drive event in Big Bear, Calif.

The tire is designed for vehicles engineered for aggressive off-road use, like the Jeep Rubicon, among others.

"The premise of the RF10 is that it's an aggressive-looking tire... but safety and function come first," say Hankook officials.

The RF10 contains a sharp-edged tread pattern, angled and tiered "wave kerfs" (sipes), center and shoulder groove stone ejectors, "scallop grooves" between tread blocks, a rim flange protector and other features.

It also is the first tire designed by Hankook's Computer-Aided Measurement System, or C.A.M.S. for short.

The RF10 will be sized to fit rim diameters ranging from 15 to 22 inches. Hankook says the product's entire size range will be available during the first quarter of 2008. It's currently in production.
