Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. has extended its contract with off-road driver Robbie Gordon through 2010. Gordon will continue to compete on Toyo's Open Country M/T tires in SCORE-International off-road racing events such as the Baja 1000 and Baja 500, as well as the international Dakar rally.
Driving his 2WD Chevy Silverado trophy truck, Gordon delivered Toyo's first overall win in the legendary Baja 1000 in 2006. He finished second overall at this year's Baja 500.
During Dakar 2007, Gordon piloted his Team Dakar USA Hummer H3 racer to an eighth place overall finish.
"We look forward to more great performances, both at Baja and Dakar, and to apply the knowledge we have learned to future product development," says Steve Weinger, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
