Yokohama partners with Mopar on TIREWorks program

July 5, 2007

Thanks to a new partnership between Yokohama Tire Corp. and the Mopar division of DaimlerChrysler, consumers have thousands more outlets to buy Yokohama tires.

According to Bruce Buckles, Yokohama manager of original equipment dealer sales, Yokohama's full line of consumer tires are available at more than 3,700 Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers across the United States as part of Mopar's TIREWorks program. That includes its flagship Advan ultra-high performance line.

"The Mopar TIREWorks program is a tremendous opportunity for Yokohama," says Buckles. "First, it allows our dealers to increase sales by supplying thousands of Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealerships with our strong line of tires, and secondly, it helps us connect with new consumers across the country."

This is the second business venture between Yokohama and Chrysler in recent months. Earlier this year, Chrysler tabbed Yokohama's AVID S33 tires as OE on its 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.

Yokohama Tire Corp. is the North American manufacturing and marketing arm of Tokyo, Japan-based Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. For more information on Yokohama's product line, visit www.yokohamatire.com.
