Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA) says the National Labor Relations Board has denied an appeal by the United Steelworkers pertaining to its Charlotte, N.C., plant.
CTNA says the board ruled on June 27 that the company's decision to cease production at the factory was lawful and that the firm "fully complied with its legal obligations to negotiate with the union about the decision."
