Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has announced winners of its Goodyear "Get There" Award, which honors individuals responsible for helping American athletes achieve their Olympic dreams.
Goodyear's selection panel has picked three winners from 28 individuals representing each major Olympic sport. (Goodyear will provide a new set of tires to each of the 28 individuals.)
The panel was headed by Dan O’Brien, an Olympic decathlon gold medalist. "I know firsthand how important family, coaches and mentors can be to an athlete trying to become the best in the world," says O'Brien.
