Yokohama Rubber announces a series of upper management promotions

At its recent board of directors meeting, Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. made a number of management changes. They will become effective upon being approved at the General Meeting of Shareholders, which will be held on June 28, 2007.

Three corporate officers were promoted to managing corporate officers: Koichi Tanaka, Takashi Fukui and Norio Karashima. Etsuji Hanatate and Misao Hiza were named corporate officers. Michio Yuge, who retired as a corporate officer, was promoted to senior corporate auditor; he replaces Masaaki Kusida, who is retiring and will stay with the company as an advisor.

Toshihiko Shiraki and Masamichi Danjo will retire as managing corporate officers, but stay on in other capacities. Shiraki will take on the responsibilities of president of Yokohama Tire Chubu Sales Co. Ltd. Danjo will be president of Yokohama Techno Research Co. Ltd. Both also will advise for Yokohama Rubber.
