Orders for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s CS4 Touring passenger tire are exceeding expectations, according to Cooper management.
"The CS4 will be one of our higher volume products," says Cooper CEO and President Roy Armes.
"We expect it to be one of the better performers in our product portfolio."
The tire was officially unveiled in March. It provides two all-season tread options:
* a T-rated, four-rib tread design (in 29 sizes).
* an H- or V-rated, five-rib design (in 31 sizes).
Sizes range from 14 through 18 inches. Cooper officials say the size line-up fits many of the most popular sedans, minivans and crossover vehicles on the road today.
