Toyo teams with Charity Motorsports Group and Lance Armstrong

April 9, 2007

Toyo Tire (USA) Corp. is joining with Charity Motorsports Group Inc. to raise awareness -- and money -- for cancer research. They hope to use the 2007 BMW Car Club of America (CCA) road racing season as a springboard to aid the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) in accomplishing these goals.

Charity Motorsports (CMG) is in its first year of partnership with the LAF and has a goal of raising $100,000 dollars for the foundation to assist in research and medical care for those affected by cancer.

Toyo, as the official tire technology partner of Charity Motorsports (CMG), will provide its Proxes RA1 D.O.T.-legal competition tires for CMG's e46 BMW M3 race car.

"Organizations like Toyo recognize what we are trying to accomplish at CMG and have stepped up to do their part. We truly appreciate their help," says Aaron Nichols, founder of CMG.

CMG plans to race mainly in the BMW CCA's Golden Gate Chapter events for 2007; also a possibility are appearances at California enduros that are yet to be determined and the 25 hours of Thunderhill. A full race schedule for CMG can be found at www.charitymotorsports.org/racing.htm.

Charity Motorsports Group is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in San Mateo, Calif.
