North Carolina dealers elect new officers

New officers and board members were elected at the recent North Carolina Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association Convention and Trade Show in Concord, N.C.

Danny Honeycutt, senior consumer sales manager for North and South Carolina for Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC, was sworn in as president. He will serve a two-year term. The other officers are:

* Ryan Benton, president-elect. He is vice president of Black's Tire Service Inc.

* Larry Griffin Jr., vice president. He is president of Griffin Brothers Tire Sales.

* John Allen, secretary/treasurer. He is president of Hughes Bros. Tire Service.

Mike Wolfe, president of Southeastern Wholesale Tire Co., will serve as immediate past president. Former President Bob Briggs has decided to retire. He and his wife, Barbara, recently sold Briggs & Sons Tire to Black's Tire.

The four new board members are Andrew Bergeron, executive vice president and COO of Colony Tire Corp.; Terry Lewis, vice president and general manager of Maness Tire & Retreading Inc.; Johnny Hill, vice president and general manager of Hill's Tire & Auto Service; and Tony Tripp, president of Tripp's Tire Service Inc.
