In addition to some tiremakers, DENSO International America also has been named a General Motors "Supplier of the Year."
Bo Andersson, GM's group vice president for global purchasing and supply chain, said DENSO was honored "based on (its) outstanding performance in 2006."
Earlier this week, Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC and GITI Tire Group announced they have won GM's "Supplier of the Year" award as well.
