Yokohama Tire Corp. will raise its commercial truck and bus tires up to 5% on May 1.
"We have been doing our best to contain costs of raw material,
manufacturing and transportation," says John Cooney, director of commercial sales for Yokohama.
"Now an increase... has become unavoidable and necessary to equalize the soaring costs."
Earlier this week, Yokohama announced it will increase its consumer tire prices up to 7% and its OTR tire prices from 3% to 5%, effective May 1.
