Adirondack Tire prepares to open 10th store

March 29, 2007

Adirondack Tire Corp., an Albany, N.Y.-based chain, will open its 10th store on Monday, April 2.

The six-bay outlet, a former Midas Miffler shop, is located in Rotterdam, N.Y. It will employ four to five people, says Tracy Randall, Adirondack Tire's retail manager.

Adirondack Tire was founded by current owner Larry O'Shea in 1979. In addition to retail stores, it also operates a distribution center.

"We're constantly looking at other locations," says Randall, who adds that the dealership could very well add two or three more stores within the next three to five years.

Adirondack Tire sells Hercules, Dunlop, Goodyear and Sigma brand tires.
