Cooper will be the "official tire" of the NOPI Professional Drift Series for the eight-event 2007 season.
"This sponsorship provides an excellent platform to continue to showcase our ultra-high performance Cooper Zeon tires and technological capabilities to enthusiasts," says Jim Keller, vice president of marketing.
Two other tire brands also have teamed with the NOPI drift series. Participants who are eligible for the Maxxis International contingency program also are eligible for "Pro-pricing," according to the company.
"We are dedicated in helping all drifters at the NOPI Professional Drift Series events," says James Mason, automotive marketing coordinator for Maxxis. "If a drifter needs tire help, we will be there to give them a helping hand. This does not mean just Maxxis drifters."
In addition, the Wanli S-1088 ultra-high performance tire will be displayed at every NOPI Drift event during the series. A variety of cars in the NOPI series also will be using the Wanli S-1088 as their competition tire.
