The Tire Industry Association (TIA) held the first of its annual manufacturers' meetings with Michelin North America Inc. last week.
For the past few years, TIA has been meeting with the major tire manufacturers "to encourage the exchange of information between both groups," according to TIA officials.
TIA President Paul Hyatt says the association considers the meetings a valuable opportunity to strengthen relations with tiremakers.
"We greatly appreciate Michelin's commitment to open communication. We made great progress during our discussion on topics of mutual interest."
