As of Sept. 9, 2008, the Toyota Canada Inc. sales and service network, which includes 239 Toyota and 30 Lexus dealerships across Canada, can offer customers a more comprehensive line of Continental and General passenger and light truck tires.
"This agreement gives Toyota and Lexus customers access to our catalog of passenger and light truck tires, (and) helps to increase our retail presence without compromising our existing tire dealer network," says Guy Hardiman, general manager of Continental Tire Canada Inc.
(Toyota and Lexus dealerships will work with existing Continental and General dealers to manage product distribution.)
"Automotive dealers look more and more to products like tires to help build and maintain long-term relationships with their customers, and this represents an ideal fit for a premium brand like Continental," he adds.
Continental Tire Canada serves more than 700 independent tire dealers.
