Arnco has unveiled its new UltraLite flatproofing material that is 60% lighter than regular polyurethane fill. It is designed for tires used on slower equipment.

"UltraLite is a liquid polymer that is injected into a new pneumatic tire assembly and replaces all the air," say Arnco officials.

"The material solidifies into lightweight flexible foam and the result is a flat-free and maintenance-free tire."

Arnco plans to sell UltraLite throught its Carefree Tire subsidiary.

"We are seeing a large and growing demand for a lighter weight flatproofing material that eliminates flats on smaller size tires and reduces costly downtime," reports Arnco President Larry Carapellotti.
