July 14, 2008

Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has promoted two executives, Joe Recchia and Rob Keller, and has hired another executive in moves designed to further the company's global growth initiatives.

Recchia has been promoted to the newly created position of corporate business development officer for Hercules Tire & Rubber Co.

Keller’s role has been expanded from division president of Hercules Canada to include president of Hercules International.

In addition, Hercules has hired Neal Valentine to be senior vice president of sales and marketing for Hercules International.

"In the last decade, the Hercules International division has grown 400%," says Hercules CEO and President Larry Seawell.

“We commend Joe for his significant managerial contributions to this growth. As we execute our global plans in the next three to five years, we believe he is the right person to lead our development initiatives abroad."

While Recchia will continue to work closely with the International division, his previous duties will shift to Keller, who has been

president of Hercules Canada for 11 years.

Under Keller's leadership, Hercules brand sales in Canada have grown 156%, say company officials.

"Rob’s senior management skills and expertise will complement the International division and continue to move our global business forward," says Seawell.

Valentine has more than 20 years of tire experience with major manufacturers "in more than a dozen countries." He will lead the global sales and marketing efforts for Hercules International from its office in Kitchener, Ontario.

"Neal’s global experience in the tire industry will continue to strengthen our marketing efforts abroad."

The new appointments are effective immediately.
