Jan. 7, 2007

Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. is aiming for $610 million in sales during 2007, Kumho officials disclosed this weekend at its annual dealer meeting in Cancun, Mexico. In 2006, the company achieved $465 million in sales, a 15% increase over 2005 levels.

Kumho also is promising to improve fill rates by the end of the first quarter. "For the first half of 2006, we were running at 97% fill rate," says Dave Hudrlik, vice president and director of sales for Kumho Tire U.S.A. "We dropped down to a 62% fill rate" by the end of December 2006 due to production hold-ups at some plants.

"Our inventories are getting back to proper levels."
