ASA Tire Systems announces new TreadX interface

Jan. 5, 2007

ASA Tire Systems announces a new interface between TreadX, the graphical business software product developed specifically for tire dealers, and Wrenchead Inc.'s automotive parts catalog.

Combining the Wrenchead catalog with TreadX gives tire dealers the ability to search for more than 3.5 million hard part and accessory numbers for passenger cars, light trucks and medium-duty vehicles from as far back as 1967.

"Dealers will now be able to quote jobs accurately, and just as importantly make more intelligent decisions when sourcing parts," says Dave Duchesne, vice president of sales for ASA Tire Systems.

"With instant access to multiple suppliers stocking and pricing information, they can lower their cost of acquisition while providing a much higher level of service to their customer. And since it's all done completely within TreadX, there's no re-entry needed."

The Wrenchead catalog has more than 1,200 manufacturer lines and hundreds of thousands of "Smart Pages," which include product images, technical data and exhaust diagrams.
