American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has expanded its warehouse operations in Houston, Texas, and Montgomery, Ala., by relocating facilities in each city.
ATD has relocated its Houston distribution center into a new, 94,000-square-foot facility in the city. The relocation boosts ATD's storage capacity in Houston nearly five-fold.
ATD also has relocated its Montgomery warehouse into a new facility in the same town. "The 72,000-square-foot (distribution center) increases ATD's Montgomery distribution capacity by replacing the previous 60,000-square-foot center."
Dick Johnson, ATD's chairman and CEO, says the new distribution centers "are significant examples of ATD's commitment to our dealers in the Texas and Alabama markets."
ATD currently operates 81 distribution centers that serve tire dealers in 39 states.
