Pre-Q awarded SmartWay verification

Dec. 17, 2013

Pre-Q Galgo of Dallas, Texas, has been awarded Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay verification for its Pre-Q Galgo DP tread for use on long-haul class-8 drive axle tires.

The tread offers low rolling resistance and meets the requirements of the EPA SmartWay technology program, which verifies low rolling resistance retreaded tires that help reduce truck fuel consumption by at least 3%. It also is compliant with California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations, the company notes.

The company says the Pre-Q Galgo DP features advanced fuel-efficient cool-running compounds to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. It is available as a precure retread in 8 2/8-, 8 5/8- and 9-inch tread widths.

Pre-Q Galgo says it is committed to the environment and now we have opportunities to help our customers reducing fleet operating costs by saving fuel.
