SMP expands its clone-able TPMS line

Nov. 4, 2013

Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has added six new clone-able sensors to its growing tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor line.

These new clone-able sensors match the original for fit, form and function; and due to their advanced engineering, they can easily be cloned with the existing sensor ID, eliminating the need for a factory relearn, SMP states. These new Standard and Intermotor part numbers cover an additional four million VIO for Nissan, Infiniti, Acura, Honda, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge truck through the 2013 model year.

“We are very pleased to continue the expansion of our clone-able TPMS sensor line,” says Phil Hutchens, vice president engine management marketing, SMP. “We believe this new coverage to our clone-able TPMS line helps our customers to be successful in this growing market. Our advanced sensors are cloned in less than a minute by simply entering the sensor ID into the TechSmart T55000 cloning tool, with no factory relearn needed.”
