Tire Discounters Inc. has opened a new store in Mt. Washington, Ky. The store marks the company’s ninth outlet in the Louisville area.
The store has a staff of 10 employees. The company employs over 280 people at 28 stores throughout Kentucky.
The location features the Tire Discounters' "Store of the Future" design. The company says comfort, transparency, and efficiency are all enhanced by a variety of new features. In addition, the store design and construction set new industry standards for use of eco-friendly materials and energy efficient technology.
Tire Discounters has 87 locations throughout the Midwest with plans for opening approximately a dozen more over the course of the next year.
Established in 1976, the company has remained under the same private ownership under the leadership of Chip Wood for the past 37 years.
Tire Discounters employs more than 900 people and is number nine on the MTD 100.
