Discount Tire has opened its first store in Macedonia, Ohio.The company now has 14 stores in Ohio.
"Based on the market size and demographics of the area, it was the right time to open a store and serve the residents of the Cleveland area,” says Tim Ehinger, regional vice president for Discount Tire.
Five of the Macedonia store’s 11 employees are new hires. The company expects to add positions as the business grows. The 6,930-square-foot store is managed Chris Salle, who has worked at Discount Tire for 15 years.
In September, Discount Tire expanded its operations to 27 states with the opening of a store in Davenport, Iowa. The company ranks No. 1 on the 2013 MTD 100 with more 870 retail stores.
