RTA fosters retreading's reputation with DVD

Aug. 9, 2013

The Retread Tire Association (RTA) will be sending a large supply of its "Reputable Retreading" DVDs to Pittsburgh in September. That's where The Maintenance Council (TMC) will host the 2013 National Technician Skills Competition.

The event will be held during the 2013 TMC Fall Meeting. The four-day meeting will begin on Sept. 9.

The DVD contains a complete tour of a modern retread plant along with testimonials from a number of fleet managers talking about the economic and environmental benefits their fleets achieve by using retreaded tires. All those who enter the National Technician Skills Competition will receive a copy.

The California Integrated Waste Management Board (now known as Cal Recycle) sponsored and owns the copyright to the DVD, which is distributed by the RTA with permission.

A complimentary copy of "Reputable Retreading" is available from RTA. To receive a copy, e-mail your full name, organization and mailing address, including country, to [email protected].
