Purcell is accredited by Michelin Earthmover

July 9, 2013

The Purcell Tire and Rubber Co. announced that its Michelin earthmoving tire repair facilities in Potosi, Mo., and Phoenix, have been accredited by the Michelin Earthmover Repair Accreditation Program.

Earlier this year Michelin Earthmover partnered with Tech International and leading Michelin Earthmover dealers to launch the program, which provides consistent and quality earthmover tire repairs in Michelin’s accredited repair shops.

Tech International and Michelin have collaborated to create state-of-the-art industry standards with a sustainable repair process in order to ensure the quality and safety of repairing earthmover tires. While Tech International provides its leading repair products and processes, Michelin will be monitoring and tracking repairs for the end-user's benefit.

The new accreditation program is designed to assist in verifying that dealers will provide consistent tire repairs in every certified repair location. In order to qualify for the accredited program, Purcell was required to complete a series of comprehensive audits conducted by Michelin and Tech International.

Michelin developed the program to ensure that all standard criteria are met according to quality and repair control procedures. Purcell's accreditation to repair earthmover tires expands its commitment to serving customers for over 77 years.

Purcell Tire says it plans on obtaining accreditation for its other commercial plants located in Salt Lake City, and Clearfield, Pa., where OTR repairs are conducted.

Purcell Tire is number four on the 2013 MTD Top 100 Retreaders in the U.S. list and number seven on the 2012 MTD Top 25 U.S. Commercial Tire Dealers list.
