Marangoni SpA and Continental AG have agreed to work together in the retreading sector. The agreement will allow Marangoni Retreading Systems to produce and distribute Continental tread patterns (ContiTread) in Europe and other major markets worldwide.
The "cooperation program" is the continuation of a collaboration that was interrupted in 2000.
The production and supply of ContiTread patterns for the European market will be carried out in Hamburg, Germany, and will be based on Ellerbrock flat tread "cut-to-length" technology.
"The agreement with our group will enable Continental new tire dealers (that) are active in the retreading process to be supplied with a precure program under the ContiTread brand name and with original tread patterns, while the technical and logistic requirements will be provided by our European platform," says Giuseppe Ferrari, managing director of Marangoni Retreading Systems.
