Nexen says ‘Hooray for the Dodgers!’

Nexen Tire America Inc. announced it is leveraging its partnership with Major League Baseball’s (MLB) LA Dodgers to help further its local marketing efforts.

Nexen says the Los Angeles Dodgers is one of the most famous teams in the National League West division of Major League Baseball (MLB).

The team is especially famous in Korea for having fielded Chan Ho Park in the past. Now with Hyun Jin Ryu in their lineup, the number of Korean fans cheering them on has increased significantly. 

Through this partnership, Nexen will expose its brand by displaying an outdoor billboard placed on the rolling board behind home plate at Dodger Stadium throughout the 2013 season.

“This partnership with the LA Dodgers will serve as a good chance to improve Nexen’s brand image in the American market as well as enhance the brands status significantly," says Janghwan Lee, director of Global Marketing at Nexen.

“We hope the young and energetic image of Nexen can be appreciated by the wide spectrum of American baseball fans that will get to know us through our sports marketing.”
