Kenda's Vezda Eco is available in 25 sizes

April 30, 2013

The wait is over. The Vezda Eco is avaiable from American Kenda Rubber Industrial Co. Ltd.

The company's first eco-friendly tire is available in 25 15- to 20-inch sizes. In addition to its low rolling resistance, the tire features both wet and dry traction capabilities and low noise.

The tire was originally introduced at the 2012 SEMA Show (see "SEMA Show, Day Four: Kenda goes green").

"We're really excited about all the new technology the tire contains and our customers who have already purchased the tire have also seen the benefits," says Eric Yang, automotive marketing manager for American Kenda, which does business as Kenda USA.

"The size range and higher speed rating separates the VezdaEco from our competitors' lower rolling resistance tires. With all the features we have developed, we feel the Vezda Eco is one of the best values in the market."

The Vezda Eco was designed to reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 32g/mi. Its unique material technology results in a total reduction of about six tons of CO2 throughout a vehicle's lifecycle, according to the company. Six tons of CO2 is equivalent to the CO2 absorption by 500 trees a year.

“Not only will the end consumers save money at the pump with the green technology, the tire also carries a 60,000 mile limited warranty,” says Yang. “It’s a win-win combination for drivers and mother nature.”
