Schrader set to open expanded Tenn. plant

April 25, 2013

Schrader International Inc. is conducting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 1, 2013, to celebrate the opening of its newly expanded manufacturing facility in Springfield, Tenn.

This upgraded facility is a result of the $10 million capacity investment the company has made in the Springfield area. With this investment, Schrader has created 76 new manufacturing jobs this year and will add approximately 100 additional positions in the coming year.

The newly installed manufacturing line is a direct result of continued tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) volume growth of domestic vehicle manufacturers, as well as an increased service and repair demand for replacement sensors in the automotive aftermarket, notes Schrader.
