Nexen ranked ninth by J.D. Power

Nexen Tire Corp. announced its Nexen Tire brand has been ranked ninth in the passenger car segment by the 2013 J.D. Power and Associates U.S. Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction study.

The  J.D. Power study is based on the responses from more than 28,000 new-vehicle owners who purchased cars, SUVs, minivans and pick-up trucks of model from 2011 to 2012.

“We are very proud of this remarkable result after we began to supply our tires to Hyundai and Kia about 20 years ago. It means we are ready to supply our tires globally to new OE markets,” said Hyun-Bong Lee, chief executive officer and vice chairman of Nexen Tire Corporation.

The company said its performance and innovation has also been recognized by magazines such as Consumer Reports in the U.S., ADAC and Auto Bild in Germany, Auto Express in the United Kingdom, and Choice in Australia.
