Tire and Rim Association publishes standards

April 4, 2013

The 2013 Tire and Rim Association (TRA) Year Book contains current standards and related information approved by the association for tires, rims and allied parts for ground vehicles.

Standards are published for:

* Tire designations;

* Tire load ratings and dimensions;

* Approved rim contour(s) and valve(s) for each tire size;

* Rim contour dimensions; and

* Valve dimensions.

The Year Book also includes other data and notes necessary for tire/rim/valve interchangeability.

The $109.00 cost for the print version includes shipping and handling in the U.S. The Year Book is also available in electronic format on a USB flash drive.

“The TRA Year Book is an excellent reference for those involved with vehicles, rims, testing, and tire sales and service,” says TRA Secretary Rudy Consolacion.

Founded in 1903, TRA is the standardizing body for the tire, rim, valve and allied parts industry for the U.S.
