Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is showcasing its new Roadmaster premium regional all-position commercial tire at this week's Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville. The show, which began on March 21, will run through Saturday, March 23, at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The new RM234 is a regional haul, all-position tire for high scrub situations in which durability, tread wear and extended mileage are important. It features deep tread grooves and a premium tread compound for "excellent wear and cut and chip resistance," according to Cooper.
The RM234 will be available to customers beginning in May.
"The new RM234 is a complement to our current Roadmaster line, and offers truckers a premium option to the RM185,” says Bill Hoban, Roadmaster national truck tire sales manager. “In addition to the RM234, Cooper is showcasing its entire platform of commercial products at the show and featuring the company’s latest SmartWay-verified products.”
Cooper has four Roadmaster tires lines that are recognized as SmartWay low rolling resistant tires. Cooper offers the availability of SmartWay products for all wheel positions; they include the Roadmaster RM180 steer tire, RM871 trailer tire and RM851 drive tire.
