March 12, 2013

Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc., the U.S. division of Trelleborg Wheel Systems SpA, and tractor manufacturer New Holland demonstrated sustainable farming technologies at SIMA 2013, an international agriculture-business show, in Paris, France, Feb. 24-28.

The companies displayed the New Holland T9 4WD tractor with the Trelleborg giant 2.3 meters complete wheel IF 750/75R46 TM1000 High Power for the first time. Designed according to Blue Tire technology to meet the requirements of the latest generation of ultra high powered tractors, TM1000 High Power is fitted on the Trelleborg THK wheel.

The New Holland T9 features SCR ECOBlue technology, which provides high power and productivity while lowering environmental impact. At the same time, the extra wide footprint area of TM1000 High Power provides traction and fuel efficiency, optimizing working time and reducing emissions. In addition, flotation capability reduces the compaction of the soil and the stress on the crops, driving higher farming yields, according to Trelleborg.

“Our strategic partnership with New Holland has been developed to help farming professionals achieve the perfect combination between complete wheel solutions and cutting edge tractor technology. Together, we are committed to helping farming professionals upgrade their traditional operations to ensure a sustainable future for farming,” says Paolo Pompei, business unit president agricultural and forestry tires for Trelleborg Wheel Systems.
