Sullivan Tire feeds the hungry in New England

Feb. 22, 2013

Sullivan Tire Co. Inc.is helping drive donations to two New England food pantries this winter.

Between now and March 11th, 2013, the Sullivan Tire locations in Hyannis, Mass. and Manchester, N.H. will be collecting non-perishable food items for the First Baptist Church Food Pantry and New Horizons for New Hampshire Pantry.

The Manchester Sullivan Tire store is located at 921 South Willow Street. The Hyannis store is at 55 Airport Road. Anyone who brings in a donation will receive a coupon for $10 off any auto service at Sullivan Tire.

“It’s certainly been a long, cold winter, and even more so for families who are struggling financially,” says Mark Gillard from the Sullivan Tire Marketing Team.

“This is an easy way for residents to help support a great community resource while also saving a little money on their next auto service.”

New Horizons for New Hampshire, Inc. is a soup kitchen, pantry and shelter serving over 200 meals daily and providing groceries to 900 families each month. The First Baptist pantry offers a variety of essential food products to families in need.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for New Horizons to partner with such a wonderful family-owned business like Sullivan Tire", says Charlie Sherman, executive director of New Horizons for New Hampshire.

"The Sullivan family has a long history of supporting local non-profit organizations and this effort comes at a time when the need is greater than ever"

Bob Sullivan, president of Sullivan Tire Co. Inc. based in Norwell, Mass., is Modern Tire Dealer magazine’s 2012 Tire Dealer of the Year.
