Tyrexpo Asia 2013: already a record-breaker

Feb. 14, 2013

Tyrexpo Asia 2013 will be held March 19-21 at the Singapore Expo Centre and will bring together more tire manufacturers, distributors, brokers and agents from around the world than any previous Tyrexpo Asia, show organizers say.

Distributors from 126 countries and regions in America, Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa will be exhibiting.

Among them is Singapore-based Omni United, with its flagship brand Radar, which now has a presence in over 80 countries across five continents. Four new Radar patterns will be on display, says the show organizers, including the Renegade A/T, a rugged, M&S rated, all-terrain tire for light truck and SUV applications, available in five sizes. The Rivera GT10 is a passenger car/light truck all-season range available in 23 different sizes. The third new pattern is the Rivera Pro2 high performance summer range in 21 size options, while the RPX700 is a budget performance range for smaller passenger vehicles, available in a total of 6 different sizes.

Chinese tire companies exhibiting at the show include Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber (ZC-Rubber), which is the country’s largest and fastest growing tire manufacturer.

Crowntire is another expanding Chinese tire manufacturer, which in 2012 set up a subsidiary company in Singapore, Gremax Industrial, to increase its service levels to customers in the ASEAN region. Other subsidiaries have also been established in the U.S., Europe and Middle East to support sales volumes that have increased by an average of over 30% for each of the past six years. Last year, more than 6,000,000 units of passenger and light truck tires were sold by the company, which owns three independent brands including Gremax, Suntek and Tracmax.

Chinese tire maker Qingdao Au-Shine Tyre Co. will be showcasing its brands including Haulking, Agromaster and Rainmaster. The company already has achieved $10 million in export sales and output of 3.2 million sets of bias tires, including OTR, agricultural, industrial, truck and light truck tires.

Middle Eastern suppliers also will be well represented. The Dubai-based Al Dobowi Group will be displaying its latest new brand, Eternity, with a product range that includes truck and bus radials, truck bias, light truck, passenger car and OTR tires. Also from Dubai is Zafco’s Zeetex brand with an extensive range of tires, batteries and lubricants.

Show regular BKT from India will showcase its newly developed agricultural and OTR tires in both bias and radials.

While there will be a record number, range and variety of tire companies at the show, visitors also will have access to dozens of international suppliers of retreading materials, technology and equipment, wheels, workshop machinery, tools, accessories and consumables.

Tyrexpo Asia will be officially opened by Dr. Stephen Evans, head of the International Rubber Study Group, the leading source of statistical data and analysis for all aspects of the global rubber industry.
