Goodyear wins honors from Popular Science

Nov. 24, 2009

The Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tire has been named to Popular Science magazine's 2009 "Best of What's New" list in the Automotive Technology category.

The tire is featured in the December issue of the magazine.

The Fuel Max contains a proprietary tread compound "that helps reduce energy loss as the tire rolls," according to Goodyear officials. The tire is available in 32 sizes, fitting more than 80% of the passenger tire segment.

"We are pleased to be honored by the editors of Popular Science for the innovation represented in the Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max," says Steve McClellan, Goodyear's North American president, consumer tires.
