East Bay adds to its specialty tire offerings

Nov. 11, 2009

East Bay Tire Co. has added new lines to its Dawg Pound industrial tire program.

Available to the global tire dealer community, new Dawg Pound tires include the following:

* the Skid Dog, an exclusive, premium OE skid steer tire; and

* the Super Dog, a severe service, deep tread (43/32-inch) entry that has "excellent" traction on pavement, dirt or rock, according to the company.

The Dawg Pound specialty tire program features six skid steer choices; pneumatic, solid resilient and banded pneumatic forklift tires; and backhoe, grader, earthmover, compactor, and imported loader (dumper) tires. They are made in Sri Lanka.

East Bay Tire says it is looking to expand its dealer/distributor base to up to 40 stocking dealers to cover the 48 contiguous states. "We are also looking forward to entering the international market, spreading the Dawg Pound across the world and really letting the 'Dawgs' out."

The wholesale tire distributor offers factory direct ordering and fill-in orders from its 386,000 square-foot warehouse in Fairfield, Ca.; Fresno, Calif.; and Hawaii.

For every container purchased, East Bay Tire, which is located in Fairfield, Calif., near Napa Valley, will include a case of wine from the wine club of Chairman George Pehanick.
