Ford Motor Co. recently recognized Hankook Tire America Corp. as one of its outstanding global suppliers.
For its 10th anniversary World Excellence Awards, Ford recognized 47 suppliers for an outstanding effort contributing to high quality vehicles produced at affordable prices for consumers.
This marks the first time Hankook Tire has received the award from Ford, and it was the only tire supplier given the honor, the company reports.
Greg Pae, president of Hankook Tire, says, “We have a great relationship with Ford and this announcement illustrates that they realize how committed we are to providing them with the best tires in the industry. Ford’s latest result for high quality products is terrific news, and we’re happy to be a part of it.
“As we continue to grow, the original equipment industry is an area where we want to play a strong role,” says Pae. “Working with manufacturers, such as Ford, allows us to reach new customers, who can experience our products that are specifically tailored for each vehicle.”
In North America, Hankook Tire supplies tires for Ford’s Focus, Edge, E-250, E-350, F-150 and the upcoming Flex.
In addition to Ford, Hankook Tire has global fitments with General Motors, Hyundai, Kia, Volkswagen, Audi, International Truck and Chrysler.
