Federal 595RPM is ready to roll

Oct. 31, 2009

The Federal 595RPM, Federal Tire Corp.'s first asymmetric tire, has arrived. First showcased at the 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show, the high performance sport tire is designed for "the ultimate sport sedan,” according to the company.

The new tire features the following:

* an optimized tread profile for a quiet and pleasant ride;

* four drainage grooves developed to provide improved stability and maintain a consistent footprint on wet roads;

* an asymmetrical tread pattern designed to efficiently displace water and decrease rolling noise without conceding its controllability; and

* a Sloped Radius Gradient (SRG) design that evenly spreads out block stiffness to combat irregular wear.

In addition, the "595RPM” emblem is displayed on the center rib.

Federal is backing the tire with a dedicated, printed, full-color brochure with an easy-to-use layout. The new-look of sales literature "reflects the direction in which the Federal brand is heading -- aesthetics, fashion and speed," says the company.

“I am serious about performance," says Federal Group CEO Shu Jam Ma in the point-of-sale piece. "That is why I prefer the 595RPM over the original factory tires. You will feel the difference.”

The 595 RPM asymmetric sport tire is initially available in five sizes: 255/30ZR21, 225/35ZR19, 285/35ZR19, 225/40ZR18 and 215/45R17.
