Ludwig: 'Tariffs will be good for U.S. tiremakers'

Oct. 8, 2009

"President Obama's decision on Sept, 11, 2009, to impose tariffs on Chinese tires will be a positive for U.S. tire manufacturers," says Saul Ludwig in the October 2009 issue of Modern Tire Dealer.

"With the cost of a Chinese tire import set to increase by 35%, importers will look to other low-cost sourcing areas, but will also likely increase purchases from U.S. producers."
