Kumho Tire Co. Inc. is not giving up on its year-and-a-half-old tire manufacturing facility in Vietnam.
In response to news items on the Web to the contrary, J.B. Kim, president of Kumho Tire U.S.A.. Inc., says the report by Jaccar, a global investment firm, was completely incorrect.
"Despite rumors circulating in a European financial publication, Kumho Tires is not currently engaged in negotiations to sell its Vietnam plant.
"Kumho Tires is committed to taking its place among the Top 10 global tire manufacturers, and the company will continue to increase production worldwide to meet the expanding needs of our customers in the U.S.," he adds.
