The Toyo Proxes A20 all-season tire has been selected as the 18-inch original equipment upgrade for the 2010 Lexus HS 250h.
Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. is supplying the Proxes A20 in size P225/45R18 to Lexus for its first dedicated hybrid vehicle. The eco-friendly tire, which features low rolling resistance, is designed to work "extremely well with modern, efficient hybrid vehicles," according to the company.
The tire is produced at Toyo's Kuwana factory in Japan.
Lexus, a division of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc., claims the HS 250h produces the best combined estimated EPA mpg rating of any luxury vehicle in the U.S. (35 mpg).
In addition to the new Lexus HS 250h, Toyo tires are OE on other Toyota vehicles, including the Toyota Prius V, Camry and the Highlander Hybrid Limited.
