JMK launches redesigned Web site

Aug. 14, 2009

JMK Computerized Tire Dealer Information Systems has redesigned and launched a new version of its Web site (www.jmktdis.com) to provide information on the company's Tire Dealer Business Management System software.

Jim Krakower, director of system development, says, "The redesigned site offers in-depth information on the company's products, testimonials from existing tire dealer accounts, and the ability for tire  dealers to request information, contact JMK staff, download product data sheets and learn about new leading-edge, forward-thinking  features designed to benefit volume tire dealer operations."

One software feature is an accounting option to “radically free up cash 'banked' from using the typical accrual method for sales tax filing procedures,” says Krakower.

“By taking advantage of little-known tax law provisions valid in states such as Illinois, Texas, Alabama, North Carolina., etc., and special software from JMK, dealers can free up previous sales tax collection 'deposits' by electing to change their company's sales tax reporting procedure from accrual to cash, while still maintaining accrual accounting for income tax purposes.

“That release of cash most often will more than pay for the initial system license and installation cost,” says Krakower.

JMK has been developing its software for more than 30 years. It is based in Urbana, Ill., and has support staff and production  facilities in Illinois, Texas and Arizona. JMK has more than 100 tire dealer installations in 14 states and Canada, the company reports.
